I recently purchased Microsoft Press' "Mastering Visual Basic 4.0"
CD-ROM.
Unfortunately, when the program attempts to run, I recieve the following
error:

Run-time error `438'

Object doesn't support this property or method

Microsoft has NO support for this product.  There is a tech support
number,
but only for the install.  Even though the product doesnt work, `it
installed ok'
so its not their problem.  They basically told me to return it for a
refund. I
would much rather get it to work.

If you have any ideas, please respond by email.

I can't help but I was told by Microsoft that it will not be available
in the UK until March - where did you get your copy from ?

Mark,
I am running the program on my Win95 machine with no problem.  I don't
care for the programming of the cd itself, but I have had no problem
in running the cd.
I have 16 mb on my machine, and the program does seem to be quite a
resource hog.
For what it's worth.

My CD works just fine.

I'll assume that you have VB 4.0 Professional or Enterprise installed.

If reinstalling doesn't work get another CD.
