Can Jet 2.5 Interrupt a Query?

Can Jet 2.5 Interrupt a Query?

Can anyone tell me if the Jet 2.5 query interrupt works.  I was told
Microsoft that you can interrupt a query in Jet 2.5 by hitting the
ESCAPE key.

I went through all the hassle of upgrading my Jet by downloading the
compatibility layer (comlyr.exe and accsvc.exe) and I can't interrupt
a Dynaset query (the query is to an Informix 5 DB via an ODBC Driver
and I don't use DBEngine).

The one thing that I can think that might be wrong is that my
ODBC driver is set for SYNCHRONOUS transmission.

Can anyone tell me if this really works.

Are you using VB3? I was told that there's no way to interrupt a query with
VB3 but that with VB4 there is. I think that if you're running the query from
within Access then the escape key will interrupt the query.
