Performance comparison Visual Basic 3.0 vs MS ACCESS 2.0

Hello,

who has information (quantified, if possible) about performance gains
from Visual Basic 3.0 against MS Access 2.0. For example, can you
quantify how much faster database access is in VB compared with
Access, and which features may be applied to achieve this performance
gain?

Please mail to

Microsoft does.  This in the knowledge base.  Sorry I don't know the #.
From what I remember Access does 3 of all the comparisions faster.  If I
remember right on average VB3 code runs twice as fast.

The big advantages of VB over

I would add one further advantage, which is the speed at which the users
get to be able to use the database.  To load full blown Access on our
66DX's takes MUCH longer than the time taken to load the VB Front End
(around 7-8 seconds - as against a minute or more!).
