 password problem with accessing a access database

password problem with accessing a access database

I'm having a problem accessing a access database with a password does anyone
know how to access it.

my paswword = 123
my databasename = db1.mdb

this is what i tried

 Dim mydb As Database
 Dim myrs As Recordset

 Set mydb = Workspaces(0).OpenDatabase("c:\db1.mdb;mypw=123")

Try it in the following way via ADO:
(It's for Access97)
but you shouldn't hardcode your database name and password.

Dim sConnect As String
Dim dfwConn As New Connection

  sConnect = _
        "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.3.51;Persist Security
Info=False;User ID=Admin;Data Source=c:\db1.mdb;Mode=Share Deny None;Extended
Properties=';COUNTRY=0;CP=1252;LANGID=0x0409';Locale Identifier=1033;Jet
OLEDB:System database='';Jet OLEDB:Registry Path='';Jet OLEDB:Database
Password=123'';Jet OLEDB:Global Partial Bulk Ops=2"

  Set dfwConn = New Connection
  dfwConn.Open sConnect
  dfwConn.Close
