VB6.0 and SQL Server 7.0 OLAP Active X components -URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED
We have a major client who would like to use the OLAP facilities of SQL
Server 7.0. The problem is that their staff user base would require them to
upgrade several thousand desktop machines to gain the OLAP reporting
facilities currently available in Office 2000.
I believe that their are OLAP Active X components available with SQL Server
7. My question is this. How much functionality do these components
provide? I have read one book that suggests that their is an 'OLAP Manager
Browser' control which provides virtually everything you need to be able to
view the data cubes. Is this true.
Can I edit the data or just browse it?
Can anyone help?
