 HTML POST protocol

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any documentation on the format that POST transaction
takes in an HTTP server? Specifically, the messages that are sent to and
from the server and client.

I tried understanding the operation from the W3.org documents, but I
found them to be too cryptic.

Thanks,
Andrew

Maybe it helps:

ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc2616.txt

Page 54 ff. describes the POST transaction mechanism.

Best regards,

Sebastian.
