Hello,

We're interested in helping some high school students
run some biological sequence analysis code - in BASIC.
Hence we must find a basic interpreter for UNIX. If anyone
has any advice about where to find a UNIX interpreter/compiler
for BASIC, we'd be eternally grateful.

I've got some pointers to several portable implementations of
the BASIC language on the Chipmunk Basic www page:

There are at least 2 or 3 free implementations that can be easily
compiled on most *nix systems.
