Did Peter Cooper's powerbasic newsgroup idea get off the ground? My
newsserver (Demon's) has no knowledge of it.

Thanks,

alt.lang.powerbasic is up and running.  If you want it and your ISP doesn't
carry it, ask them to get it.

Yes, it did. It took a while, but it finally showed up on my newserver. But
since it's still quite new, there are not that many messages in it yet.

Hiya Thomas! and James. :)

Demons News Server does carry alt.lang.powerbasic.. I use it. The Demon
newsserver carries all newsgroups AFAIK, all 22000 or so. Refresh your
newsgroup list..?

Coincidentally, I got all new groups from news.demon.co.uk a few seconds
before I saw this article, and I'd done the same a couple of days
previously. Still no a.l.pb or any group containing 'powerbasic' in my
list.

I'll try a complete group refresh this evening, but I don't see why that
would make a difference.

I take it you use news.demon.co.uk, Peter?

I also use Demon and get alt.lang.powerbasic.  With the news problems
Demon have had of late, I am not supprised that your refresh of news
groups did not work first time !!
