I ABSOLUTELY MUST figure out a way to play cmf and mid files in the
backround and running my program in QB 4.0 at the same time.
My main problems are:

1. I must change the segment in my program, but then the music gets
   all mixed up and refuses to play properly.

2. It must run without using a library other than the one included with
   my QB 4.0

So can someone please help?
ANY HELP on this topic would be appreciated.

There is a commercial package called DIGPAK (free for public domain stuff.)
that can do sound card stuff without having a library linked in.

Note: it does this by using TSR's and Dos interrupts, so you'll have to
know how to call the interrupts to use it.
