I have programming experience in Basic, C, Pascal, and HTML.  I was
wondering which language would be the most beneficial.  Mostly, I am going
to be creating just basic windows programs to do pretty simple stuff.  I was
wondering what suggestions you would have about Visual Basic or Visual C++.

VisualBasic is easier than Visual C++, if you don't need the extra power.
For one thing, you don't need to learn as much about Windows details.
