If you want people to read your question of comment ...

The comp.lang.basic.misc. newsgroup gets a large number of
postings every day - 129 today, for example.

The great majority have a completely useless Subject line
such as "BASIC question" or "Please help," and this gets
perpetuated in the replies. There may be some readers who
look at everything, but surely most of us are guided by
the Subject line.

This note is to urge everyone to make the Subject line
as specific as possible.

Good point, I often decide what to read and what gets deleted by the subject
line also.   Unless it is a "Please Help" subject that somebody cares about (eg
people reply) I'd usually read it, but starting off by naming the
compiler/interpreter, the type of problem it deals with (IO, graphics, etc) is
a good idea.

I'm sure I've probably missed a few good posts because they had titles such as
"Hey everybody", "Hi", dozens of exclamation points, the word "cash" in the
title, etc.
