 tr, sed, and substitution speed

I've a big (200Mb) text file in which I must do theese substitutions:


* - _2A
| - _7C
% - _25
_ - _5F
/ - \

If symbols / \ : are after the ? symbol in a row, they are changed to:
_2F_5C_3A
At the start of every line a   START   must be added.

example:     abc/def?onetwothree|ghilm/zzz

what do you think to be the FASTEST command-line  line  to perform this?
