 Remote Lights Out Operations

Thomas,

How would you configure two Mainframe shops today, where one served
as the primary day-to-day branch and the other as the application develoment
center. The remote site would be about 2000 miles from the local and in
the event of an disaster at the local center the remote location should be
able to pick up the day-to-day processing ASAP.

What kind of data extenders should be used?
What would be the fastest way to move large amounts of data to
the remote center if one had a couple of T3's (NDM, HSM)?
What about CA-1 and the TMC nightmare?
What about a local staging DASD array?
What about StorageTek's 4400-LSM's at each site?

Your thoughts,
regards
Bruce
