 Remote Connection Wizard - connection to MS Exchange

Does anybody know how the Remote Connection Wizard exactly works (located on
the remote toolbar of Outlook 2000)?

Does it use simple MAPI to connect to Exchange?  How does it connect?  Is
there any way to call this wizard from VB (an API)?  Is there any way to use
the same API's as the remote connection wizard?
