Public Folder Contact folders.

 Public Folder Contact folders.

We have a tree of about 25 public folders used for various contact types,
such as supplier, employee, clients etc. All these contact folders need to
be made available to everyone in the company so they can send to the
contacts in the folders.

To do this manually, I need to make each folder available as an email
address book by right-clicking the folder, clicking Properties, selecting
the Outlook Address Book tab and ticking the "Show this folder as an e-mail
Address Book" checkbox.

I need to do this for every folder for every employee.

Does anyone know if it's possible in Outlook 2000 to automate this? I know
in 2002 there is a VBA property I can set for each folder. If not using VBA,
is there a program that could be recommended?

 Public Folder Contact folders.
Take a look at the Office 2000 Resource Kit (http://tinyurl.com/5hoq),
especially the Outlook 2000 Modify Profile Utility
(http://tinyurl.com/2kre).  I'm not certain you can pre-configure Outlook
Address Books; it didn't jump out at me.  Hopefully you can!  If not, just
get management to approve an upgrade to Outlook XP and you're laughing!
Piece of cake, right?  :-)

 Public Folder Contact folders.
Nope, you need Outlook 2002 to configure contacts folders as address book.
It's not part of the RK utilities even in Outlook 2002, but requires some
coding.
