 Automatic Headers - Word 2000

Hi All

I've inherited a document and when i go onto the second page (either
manually or automatically) a special header gets inserted into the document.
I need to edit that header in the template as it is wrong, however, i can't
discover how it's being created.

Where does it live?  How can i edit it.

Regards
Julie

 Automatic Headers - Word 2000
Hi, Julie,

Open the template itself from the File | Open dialog. I assume it's only one
page long, and that the File | Page Setup | Layout dialog shows a check mark
on "Different first page".

To get access to the second page's header, you have to temporarily create a
second page by going to the end of the template and pressing Ctrl+Enter.
Then you can open the header area (just double-click it, or use View |
Header). On the Header toolbar, click the Next button if necessary -- notice
that the dashed box around the header area says either "First Page Header"
or just "Header" depending on which one is showing. Make your changes, close
the header area, *delete the temporary page break* and save.
