 Runtime is incredibly slow??

Hi,
This is the second posting for this. I hope someone can help me.

I guess this is two questions. Any suggestions on how to make runtime
version open faster. If not how can I have a splashpan, animated or other
form open while the db is loading. (I have recompiled and saved all modules
and compacted db)

Any help with this is much appreciated.

Optimization: There are entire books on the subject. The one I have is
"Optimizing Visual Basic 4" from QUE, written by Ward R. Hitt.

Splash screen: Simply load a splash screen at the start and unload it after
the data has loaded.

Have you tried the 'Make mde file' option? the mde files are faster than mdb
files.
