Adding Icon to MS Project using VBA

Can anyone tell me how to add an icon to a custom toolbar button in project
98 and 2000?   I have the buttons created, but don't know how to add the
icon.

Thanks,

Luke

Adding Icon to MS Project using VBA
 Hi Luke,

I'm not aware of a way to add an external icon to a tool button, but you can
easily create a button image using Project's customisation tools.  If you
View/Toolbars/Customize... and while the form is showing, right click on a
tool button and select to edit the button image and use the Image editor.

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:-)

Mike,

Thanks for the note.

I know that products have been created that add themselves to MS Project
with their own buttons and their own icon images.  How this is done?  I know
how to do it manually, how do I do it via VBA?

Thanks,

Luke

Hi Luke,

Try the microsoft.public.project.vba newsgroup as you are more likely to get
a VBA  answer there.

Hope this helps :-)

Adding Icon to MS Project using VBA
This works under Project 2000, your mileage may vary..

Create the macro..
View->ToolBars->Customize
Select Commands.
Select the macro from the list on the right and drag it to a new or existing
tool bar.
Then while the tool bar dialog box is displayed. Right click on the button
you've just placed into a tool bar or select Modify Selection, it looks like
you're going to have to edit the icon in-place or perhaps you can copy the
icon to the clipboard in you icon editing tool and then past the button
face. I don't have a dedicated icon editor loaded at the moment and the clip
board format probably varies with the tool.
