How to make Microsoft Word TWAIN COMPATIBLE to facilitate remote scanning
The latest Visioneer scanner I received included Textbridge Pro software
which adds a scan command to the Word file menu. This command uses the
Textbridge software to run the scanner and OCR into Word. It is the
Textbridge which is TWAIN compatible. (Otherwise, if you figure out a way to
get Word to run the scanner directly, you'll get an image, rather than text,
in your document.) I believe OmniPage will do the same thing. So - look to
your OCR software and see if it has an option to work directly within Word.

Folks:
I want to use Microsoft Word to scan documents on a remote scanner. To
achieve this goal, it is necessary to make Microsoft Word TWAIN COMPATIBLE.
Adobe Photoshop 7.0 is Twain Compatible and works well with the remote
scanner. Is there a way to make Microsoft Word TWAIN COMPATIBLE, so that I
can do remote scanning.
Thanks,
John.
