move between Access and Word, back to Access, Close word

I am working in an Access dB that has links (hyperlink) to
a word document.  The word document has a link back to
Access.

I have tried recording a macro to close the word document
once the user leaves it.  Have not been able to do so.

Real problem is that the Access minimizes itself when word
comes up.  If I could find a way to keep Access maximized
behind the word document, then my problem would be solved.

Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy,

It could probably be done, using Application Events, but
you'd have to have complete control over the installation. Is
this just for yourself, or something you want to share (or
distribute)?

And what version of Word is this?

Cindy,
Thanks for your assistance. I am working in Microsoft Word
2000. The database will run on a number of different
computers. Unfortunately, I will have no control over each
computer's software installation. I will reflect the
maximize database into the Database Instructions Guide.

Amy

Do you have control over the documents that are hyperlinked?
