 Importing Excel SpreadSheet(w/TABS) into Access Table

I can not get the Excel (TAB Sheets) imported (appended) into the Access
Table using VBA code...
Tried to use DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet..... NO LUCK
I am using Win95... MS Office 97 PE (Access and Excel)
