Using a Custom color from the color palette.

Using a Custom color from the color palette.

I want to change the Excel 2000 Color Palette so that all new workbooks can
access the new color that I modified.  In my case, I want to change the Gray
color to a VERY light gray so that I conserve ink.  That is because every
other row on my spreadsheets are gray.

I went into Tools...custom....and I selected the default gray color.  I
chose modify.   The color I wanted DID show up.  however, when I open a new
Excel workbook, that color is nOT available for me to use in Excel or VBA.

Any help or resources?

Thank you.

You'd increase your chances of getting an answer if you
posted in an EXCEL group.
