Davi #1 / 2	Drop Down List In Word 2002, there is a property that can be set (according to Help) for the values in teh drop down list, which "Determines whether the first item appears in the box and whether the first item is selected by default.". The property is defined as "Selected", but I cannot find anywhere where this value is set? When double clicking on the form field, or right click property, these values are not there to set? I've searched the knowledgebase extensively. I've saved my document as a templated (.dot) Thanks.

Cindy Meister -WordMVP #2 / 2	Drop Down List Hi David, I think you may be confusing Form (ActiveX) controls with Word's form fields. They aren't the same thing, and don't have the same properties. I believe the one you were reading up on in the Help can be found in the Control Toolbox toolbar.
