Access97 vba VS Access2000 vba
Actually, VBA is the _core_ language behind both
Visual Basic and Office.
VB has a lot of extra "stuff" around VBA that extends the whole "package" (I
consider VB to be a development "package", not a language). There's nothing
different in terms of syntax as long as you go with supported features.
No, you can't code a db in Access 2000 and expect to open it in Access 97.
The Jet database formats are different and the only way to go back to the
prior version is to go through the Access 2000's "Save As Prior Version"
feature.

: I'm building a database and just finished 3 courses in vb 6.0 . It
appears
: that if I use Access97 , I will
: have to learn vba which has different syntax that is going to become
: obsolete someday. Can I just build my project in
: Access 2000 and will vb 6.0 work in place of the vba in Access97?
