Converting Access 97 to Access 2000 via VBA

I had a routine that I used in 97, but have upgraded to 2000.
My problem is that I need my databases to stay in 97.

I would like to convert the database to 2000 do some modifications and
convert it back to 97.

I tried using:

Dim appAccess As New Access.Application

    On Error Resume Next
    Set appAccess = GetObject(, "Access.Application.9")
    If (Err.Number <> 0) Then
        Err.Clear
        Set appAccess = CreateObject("Access.Application.9")
    End If

appAccess.DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdConvertDatabase

end sub

Only problem is that I don't want to be prompted for the file name I would
like to supply it using:

ProjDb = "c:\path\file name.mdb"

And once I do what I need to do how do I go about converting the database to
97 via VBA?

thanks in advance,
Charles
