Document Map View work around?
Thanks for the reply Klaus
The customisation I wanted toi do was to have two panes in
the window Word. The window on the top will contain the
original document while the window on the bottom will
contain the ASCII codes of each of the characetrs in the
document. And that it has to be dynamic , ie, any changes
in the document should be reflected on the ASCII pane, and
Vice Versa.
Can yu help me with this? And please let me know if it
will be OK if I get in touch with you through your email.
Thanks in Advance

that the shortcuts to display only headings up to some
heading level (Alt+Shift+1 for "Heading 1", ...,
Alt+Shift+A for "all") from Outline View don't work for
Document Map (don't know why they shouldn't; probably the
programmers just overlooked that).

Depending on what you had in mind, it might be easier to
realize in Outline view.

document (Window > New window) and arrange both vertically
(with a right-click on the Windows task bar).

the customization and macro capabilities for Outlines.

in the other, too. But the location of the Selection isn't
synchronized as it is with Document Map: The Selection in
the right-hand window doesn't jump to the new location if
you click someplace in the left window. Perhaps it would
be possible to synchronize the windows with a macro
(haven't tested it).
