Opening a DB from within a DB

I have a form which has a button that uses the Shell command to open another
Access DB. Rather than get it to load a second copy of Access and open the
DB in it, is there a way that it can close the DB currently being used and
open the one specified by the button?

Many thanks in advance,

Duncan Ogilvie
