Runtime Access 2000 and Office 97
Define totally compatible. Many people have complained about
problems with installing the runtime, since things like file
associations are changed to point to the runtime even though
users expect them to point back to Access 97, and the new
MDAC will break many ODBC apps due to the Unicode versions
of the ODBC drivers. See KB articles like Q230125 and
Q230126 for examples on some of the things that break.
