Jet 3.51 vs Jet 4.0 vs MSDE
The only problems with going the MSDE route is that:
1) It is difficult to install (not sure if this is a problem for you, since
it seems to be implied that all users are trying to access a single
database). At the location that I worked at, we were trying to install a
separate copy on each PC we shipped our product to, which ended up being a
real nightmare.
2) MSDE and Jet use different dialects of SQL. This may or may not be an
issue, depending on how much of your SQL code would have to be rewritten.
Corollary: You cannot use any Jet specific functions with MSDE.
