Access 97 VBA modifications not visible in Access 2000

I have recently come across a bug that I have been able to
locate nothing on currently.

When making changes to Access 97 code that have been
enables for use in Access 2000, the changes do not appear
when the database is openned in Access 2000.  I have
attempted everything that I can think of to remedy this
(compact and repair the 97 database using 97, recompile in
both 97 and 2000) to no avail.

Hopefully someone else has seen this.
