 reconnect linked tables to JET and ODBC

This is DAO code:

sConnect = ";DATABASE=C:\CAPIX\DATA\bs_data8.mdb"
dbRemote.TableDefs(i).Connect = sConnect
dbRemote.TableDefs(i).RefreshLink

sConnect = "ODBC;DSN=DATA_UBA;SERVER=svr3;WSID=PTM_PC;DATABASE=capix_uba;"
dbRemote.TableDefs(i).Connect = sConnect
dbRemote.TableDefs(i).RefreshLink

 sConnect = ";DATABASE=C:\CAPIX\DATA\bs_data8.mdb"
dbRemote.TableDefs(i).Connect = sConnect
dbRemote.TableDefs(i).RefreshLink

The connection is refreshed, then connected to a SQL Server via ODBC, then re-connected to a JET database.
The connection to SQL Server works, but the reconnection back to the JET database fails.
(I get an ODBC connection dialog).
Does anybody know why? Or what is going on?
