- carlo #1 / 5	installing Office 2000 kills Access 97 run-time applications When our customers who have an Access 97 VBA application that has the access run-time installed put Office 2000 on the same machine, our software will subsequently no longer work. They have to un-install Office to use our software, which is mission-critical. Is there a fix for this? Is Office 2000 not supposed to be backwards-compatible? This is a hell of a crisis. Thanks for any insight or pointers to any documentation on the subject.

Paul Browe #5 / 5	installing Office 2000 kills Access 97 run-time applications I have both versions (with ODE97 and 2000) running fine on my machine. I did have to reinstall Access 97 after the 2000 upgrade, even though I installed to a different drive. You might want to try this, and THEN reinstall the run-time stuff (In Access 97) and see if it works.
