There is not enough memory or disk space to run word
Hi there...
First realize that it's not "polite" to post the same question in
EVERY possible newsgroup vaguely related to the application you're
asking about. You should limit your post to one...or possibly two
newsgroups, max...so you don't waste the time and bandwidth of those
people who access those group...with several duplicate posts.
That said...realize that just cos' the computer SAYS there's not
enough memory...that's not EXACTLY what it means! You can have 256mb
of mem and STILL crash out with "out of memory" message if you have
tons of stuff running in the background and/or a pile of crashed files
sitting in your TEMP directory. What's a TEMP directory...that
something no one ever bothers to tell you about and/or something
that's explained in that manual no one ever reads! But you can get
more details by reading this article:

If your computer is currently sucking up all it's "resources," then
Word may not have enough room in the yard to come out and play; hence,
the error. Many "big, new computers" come preset with all kinds of cool
toys running resident in your systray. All those toys can take up
space...as can many other things, explained in that article.
Granted, you may indeed have some comflict causing you problems...but
there's a bigger chance that you just need to do a little clean up, so
try that first.
Let us know how it goes. Good luck!
