User defined column to show task progress...

I need to be able to show a user defined column that will have one of 3
states, based on the actual v expected values for costs and duration of
tasks.

The first state will be "OK - the task is on track", the second will be
"WARNING - task is 25% or more away from its estimate", and the third
"PROBLEM - task >25% away...".

What is the best way to achieve this ? I am assuming that if a baseline has
been set, then I should be able to look at percent complete, and check that
against the portion of the task that was scheduled to be completed against
the status date, and from there work out if the task is on schedule or not ?

It seems that this would probably be a standard requirement - so does anyone
know if this is built in to Project or not ? I can't seem to see it !

Thanks,

Paul.

User defined column to show task progress...
Hi Paul,

Have a look at Customising columns and setting Graphic Indicators in the
Help screens.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:-)
