I create a separate db using createdatabase method and cannot add a custom property afterwards to the db.Containers!Databases.Documents!UserDefined. Can anyone please help me with this? I am not sure what to do in this case.

Unable to create custom properties in Access.
post your code ...... Some of those containers are only added when you open a database in Access -- there is no other documented way to create them.
