disabling the DISABLE/ENABLE macros menu on opening spreadsheet

Hi
is there a way to switch off the Macro menu that pops up on opening a
spreadsheet ie I send a spreadsheet to colleagues and I want them to use the
macros attached to the spreadsheet. Thus, if they select disable the macros,
the spreadsheet does not open... is it possible ?

If it were that easy, I could send you a spreasheet that disables the macro
warning then wipes out all the files on your hard drive.  That wouldn't be
much fun, eh? <g>

And I wouldn't want MS to let you disable the macro warning via code on my
machine either.

No.  It's a decision that's left to the user, as it should be.

IMO, MS should have allowed ANY macro to run a very restricted command set
so that you could query the system to find out whether macros are disabled,
then display a message box if so.  Nothing else.  But at least that way
you'd have a chance to explain to the user what's going on and what they
need to do.
