DBEngine reference generates error.

 DBEngine reference generates error.

I have a database with the following lines in a module:

    On Error Resume Next
    x = DBEngine.SystemDB

For one particular user, this generates an error when opening the database.
The error occurs before the statement is even executed.  The error says this
is a protected function.  If you open the debug window and type "?
dbengine." you'll immediately get an error.

This started happening after doing a complete reinstall of Windows 2000, and
Access 97.

Any idea what might be causing this?  Any help at all would be appreciated!
