Detecting unread message(s) in folder and highlighting all folders above

Is there a way in Outlook VBA, when a message arrives in a folder, to have
its parent folder (and all its parent folders) highlighted if there is at
least one unread message contained therein?  This behavior is commonplace in
other mail clients and it is very useful.  At a glance, regardless of the
expanded/contracted status of a folder, you can tell if there is an unread
message contained somewhere underneath.  Outlook already does this
automatically for a message's immediate parent folder but it stops there.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
