Hello Newsgroup,

I am just starting to learn VBA for Outlook 2000.  At my first session I was
very pleased to see that the classic "Hello World" executed.  Today I tried
to take a baby step and write (actually copy) an e.mail printing function.
After I typed it into the code window I pressed the execute icon and was
told that: The macros in this project are disabled.  Please refer to the
online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to
enable macros.  The help entry told me to close the document and reopen it
with Enabled Macros.  After a few hours of fruitless hunt and peck, I am
turning to all of you wise people out there to tell me what stupid error I
have made.  Please note that Hello World fails too!

I am using the Gordon Padwick book, Using Microsoft Outlook 2000 as a text.
I trust I will very quickly learn all of the VBA in that book.  Is Sue
Mosher's book available in Barnes & Noble?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Hello NG again,

I solved my own problem, though it took all day to track it down.  Set Macro
security to Medium and you get a dialog box which asks you if you want to
enable macros.  That did it.  I am back in business.

Cheers,

Bob

Solved this by myself.  Needed to set Macro security to Medium and then I
could enable macros.

Cheers,

Bob
