Keypress detection during a powerpoint presentation

During a PowerPoint slide presentation I need to be able to detect a
keypress so that I can run a macro when a hotkey is pressed.  (I would like
to use Alt-q)
This needs to work in office 97 or above.

I want to do this as transparently as possible as far as the end user is
concerned.

If I have to then I am willing to add a menu item to the right click menu
that is available during a slide show, but I can not find out how to
reference it to add to the menu.

Any help on this is appreciated,

Thank you

Dom

Keypress detection during a powerpoint presentation
From what I have heard so far - it is not possible as a PowerPoint
Presentation does not expose any events (really useful!).

So I have been advised to use a system hook...  problem is I do not have the
first idea where to start.

I am happy to do this in VB or VBA whichever way I can, but I need to
capture Alt-q as a key sequence during the presentation, then to fire off a
Macro.

Thank you

Dom
