 Number format in Access 2000

Dear Experts,

We have two database programs(A & B) both developed by
Access 2000.  The numbers in the program are formatted by
Format().

For program A, the number format cannot be read by some
users' computers,although all compters are installed with
Access2000).  All numbers with the Format() turn out to
be "#name?".  Let's call these users group X.

More stranger is, for program B, this same number format
could be read by Group X's computers, but for another
group Y, all numbers turn out to be "#name?".

We are so puzzeled by the problem.  Could anyone help us
figure out what caused the problem?
