does anyone know how to get the Gantt chart to repaint during a loop

I am looping through the project tasks and changing the durations and would
like to see the change in the gantt chart on each iteration (with some sort
of pause after each repaint).

I think if calculation is automatic as opposed to manual, this should happen
automatically.
i.e. i assume that you have calculation set to manual?
