Is there a way to temporarily disable this?

When I put some addresses in the To and CC fields they get resolved
incorrectly because they are added in the form "lastname, firstname".
If I could disable the comma-as-separator feature, add the addresses,
and set the feature back to its original setting I'd be golden.
